Here at Xperi we solve Computer Vision problems for real product applications such as In-Car Monitoring. To support the research and development of such solutions, one of the critical aspects is creating reliable datasets to feed the machine learning algorithms and do product validation.

We offer an exciting internship for those who would like to start their career as a Data Engineer or Data Scientist – one of the hottest skills in industry trends. You will be mentored by experienced & talented developers, following high standard software development practices.

For this application the requirement is to build a demo data infrastructure in support of the machine learning framework. You will work in multi-disciplinary team formed by software and machine learning engineers.

You will be responsible for

• Developing pipelines for acquiring data from specific sources and converting metadata to a common format.
• Developing, maintaining and testing databases and large-scale processing systems.
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.
• Performing data analysis to help the ML engineers to better understand their data and to help the acquisition teams to streamline their efforts.

Skills required:

• Good communication skills.
• Good programming skills with good understanding of design patterns.
• Experience with managing databases.

Nice to have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB.
• Experience with Python/ Ruby/ Java/ C++.
• Demonstrated interest in data management and good knowledge of statistics.
