In this project, we'll attempt to implement a reactive defense tool, using SDN and an intrusion detection system.
We'll write an application on top of an SDN controller, which will integrate with an IDS (Intrusion Detection System) such as Snort.
The IDS will generate alerts based on monitoring the network and finding malicious patterns.
The SDN application will then use the alerts to block specific malicious traffic. For the SDN controller, we will use Ryu, a Python-based framework. For emulating the network topology, we will use Mininet.
