Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on a project with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analysing and visualising large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms;
• Design, develop, test and deploy big data solutions, built on large-scale data processing systems;
• Work with Big Data related technologies, using both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS / GCP/ Azure): Spark; NoSQL Databases (HBase, DynamoDB etc.); Data Warehouse (Hive, Redshift etc.); Distributed Storage (HDFS, S3 etc.);
• Participate in knowledge sharing meetings and presentations;
• Write clean, well engineered, maintainable code that conforms with accepted standards;
• Participate in the iteration planning and team standup meetings;
• Discover continuous learning opportunities in your everyday activity.

To complete the ideal candidate profile, you need to have:

• Software development and database concepts, in general;
• Good knowledge of key data structures and algorithms;
• Object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns concepts;
• Experience with Java / Scala / Python is a plus;
• Understanding of parallel and distributed computing principles is a plus;
• Experience with version control software (preferably Git) is a plus;
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus;
• Good English skills (written and spoken).
