Position Overview
This summer, join Bitdefender’s innovation and research teams to experiment with large language models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, model context protocols (MCPs), and emerging AI ecosystems. You will help prototype and evaluate how modern AI systems can enhance threat detection, security automation, analyst workflows, and defensive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Emerging AI Architectures
Explore agentic frameworks, LLM orchestration patterns, tool-augmented agents, and context management protocols (e.g., MCP-like approaches).
- Prototype AI-Driven Security Workflows
Build proof-of-concept systems that integrate LLMs with cybersecurity tools, APIs, or telemetry sources.
- Evaluate AI Capabilities in Security Contexts
Analyze strengths, limitations, risks, and security implications of modern AI systems in real-world scenarios.
- Experiment with Tool-Using Agents
Design and test multi-step reasoning agents capable of interacting with external systems, APIs, or datasets.
- Contribute to AI Strategy & Innovation Discussions
Participate in technical reviews and help shape how Bitdefender leverages emerging AI technologies.
* Document & Present Findings Produce technical documentation, experimental results, and internal presentations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. We value strong fundamentals, curiosity, and learning ability over experience with specific tools or programming languages.
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of core computer science concepts (algorithms, data structures, systems, or software engineering principles).
- Exposure to artificial intelligence concepts through coursework or personal exploration.
- Ability to quickly learn and experiment with new technologies .
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity about emerging AI systems and their real-world implications.
- Interest in exploring how modern AI environments can transform cybersecurity.
- Clear communication skills and ability to articulate technical ideas .
Additional Assets:
- Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts is advantageous but not required.
