Bitdefender is looking for a skillful and talented software development intern for one of its development teams based in both Bucharest and Cluj. The team is responsible for developing next generation cloud security technologies. Your objective consists of implementing new features and improving existing ones. As an intern at Bitdefender, you will have tremendous impact on our new Security Analytics Technology by identifying and developing new functionalities to enhance our ability to proactively identify security issues and anomalies using heuristics, statistics or machine-learning algorithms.
What you will do within the team:
- Design, develop & test back-end services that power our security solutions
- Rapidly acquire basic knowledge
- Identify and fix scalability, performance and latency issues
- Understand the data you are working with & propose a means to extract relevant information from a security viewpoint
- Run experiments/simulations and analyze the results
Qualifications:
- We assume that you have minimum professional experience and people of extreme talent will always be considered.
- 0-2 years in experience with Python and/or Java programming
- Experience with OOP design principles
- Ability to design a well-structured solution & deliver properly-tested code
- Good understanding of multi-processing & multi-threading concepts
- Familiarity with the Linux OS environment
- Result oriented, initiative, flexible, open and dedicated person
The following skills are not in any way mandatory, but they would constitute a great addition to your profile:
- Implement efficient data structures to enable faster processing
- Previous experience in working with big-data solutions
- Familiarity with Machine learning algorithms
- Experience using python libraries such as numpy, sci-py, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow or keras
- Familiarity with cloud providers and cloud security solutions
