Role overview

We are looking for a security research engineer intern who wants to take his skills to the next level and enjoy being part of a team of passionate security specialists and developers.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to and improve a cloud-based penetration testing platform.

This role requires a mix of programming and security skills that will give you a deeper understanding of the latest vulnerabilities and attack techniques. Your work will involve the development of automated exploits in Python, which will also refine your software development skills.

Requirements

We expect you to have these skills:

• Fluency in Python
• Experience using Linux CLI
• Good understanding of common types of vulnerabilities (injection and logic flaws, remote code execution, local file inclusion, directory traversal, memory corruption, access control, etc)
• Basic understanding of installing and configuring test environments (virtual machines, dockers, etc)
• Good understanding of operating systems internals (memory management, pointers, processes, threads, etc)
• Good understanding of networking and TCP/IP protocol stack
• Good understanding of the HTTP protocol and client-server architecture

It’s a plus if you also have:

• Participation in CTFs and Bug Bounty
• Familiarity with reverse engineering and binary analysis
• Previous internships or past work experience including personal projects
• Basic understanding of Flask
